OX Coffee - San Diego: Reviews & Ratings
Nice quiet little coffee shop. I ordered the honey iced latte. It was good, I told the barista I didn’t want it too sweet so he made it less sweet than usual. My friend ordered a caramel iced latte and that was extremely sweet in my opinion. If you don’t really drink pure coffee without sugar then you will like the flavored lattes. However, if you DO drink coffee for the natural coffee flavor (no sugar) then I wouldn’t suggest too much of the flavoring. The iced honey latte I had was still a tad sweet for me but thankful there was no bitter taste nor any sort of watered down flavor either.
My husband and I were just driving nearby. I suddenly feel like coffee so we randomly picked one coffee shop in this area and the navigation brought us here. The shop was really well designed, I love the decoration with nice lights and mirrors on the wall. It’s next to the popular brunch place Mission Valley Breakfast Company if you couldn’t find it. The staff here was very friendly, she was very patient helped me to choose one unique but diary free low sugar and decaf coffee. I tried their non diary orange cinnamon roll foam, it was pretty yummy, and there’s a real big piece orange peel inside the cup. The taste is slightly too light for my taste but not bad, I still like it. My husband had an americano, it was pretty nice. If you are nearby, this is a good choice for coffee.
Decided to try out a new coffee shop and this popped up in my google maps, looked cute so I went. The iced brown sugar latte is DELICIOUS, espresso is smooth and it’s sweet enough but not overly sweet. The girl working the counter was also so nice and service was quick even though she was the only one. I got the morning muffin to eat which is cheese and egg on an English muffin (there’s also an option with sausage!) and it was really yummy. $13 for the sandwich and 16oz drink which is pretty fair in my opinion. Will definitely be back!
Nice little cafe in Mission Valley. Plenty of parking. Ordered the flat white. The espresso had great taste and not too acidic. All in all it was smooth and velvety. Would come back again!
Love this place! Baristas are kind and friendly. Improvements and new things are added to the menu to keep it fresh and fun. Atmosphere is nice and cozy and many tables to do work (there is WiFi!)
Loved that their beans are roasted in house. They have a basic menu but look around before you order because you’ll find seasonal menus located in the 8x10 frames along the counter and you’ll miss out like we did. There was a spring menu and a summer menu that just started today for a limited time from 5/30-6/12. We ordered from the basic menu in the tv screen. Got the iced strawberry matcha and flavored ice cinnamon latte. Wow! First sip and you could taste the quality. The ceremonial matcha gave this grassy herbal note but too much sweetener was added for my liking. The espresso blend on the latte had a nice bitter Smokey nutty blend. They sell coffee beans in unique flavor notes like blueberry, lychee, grape, chocolate, etc. Small breakfast items and pastries offered on the go. Oh and they have private classes to learn latte art, coffee tasting, pour over basics, cafe training, just to name a few. The best part, photo worth! Sit on the big floating neon O.
My experience here was wonderful, I was greeted on arrival and asked if it were my first time in. We were helped with explanation in regards to the menu and when I asked about a drink he also went into detail with no fuss. The coffee was very good. It seems the crew here enjoys what they do and I would definitely recommend stopping by, I didn't try any food or pastry but they all options looked great! The seasonal Mayan mocha was very good, highly recommend!
